Hello! My name is Brian Malinee.
Welcome to my portfolio!
I'm an aspiring artist and designer with an eye for aesthetics and love of off-kilter concepts and creature designs. I am eager to share that passion and my fiery creative nature!
The ability to create is an inseparable aspect of my identity; nothing grips me quite like putting pen to paper or stylus to tablet. My craft is greatly inspired by all things peculiar and unorthodox: dinosaurs, insects, deep sea life, monsters, just to name a few of my favorite sources of inspiration.
A graduate of Lindenwood University with a BFA in Digital Art and Graphic Design, I am looking for opportunities that will utilize and cultivate my talents in design, conceptualizing, and technique. I'm hoping to work with a platform and a team that will allow me to share my imaginative vision with the wider world.
- Experience with Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Acrobat, Clip Studio Paint, Medibang PaintPro, and others.
- Studio practice with graphic design, digital illustration, printmaking, figure drawing, color theory, 3-D design, and inking, among other skills.
- Two-time recipient of St. Charles Community College's Boardroom Student Artistry Award (fall 2018, spring 2019) and first place recipient in the categories of 2-D Design and Graphic Design (spring 2018, spring 2019).
